Life Changes Trust 2

Cohesion Medical is pleased to announce the commencement of our new project for the Life Changes Trust which will explore the real-world challenges faced by people with dementia and their carers and gather evidence to explore the way in which technology can improve their lives and give them a stronger voice. Our research will establish a baseline of how existing technology is used by people with dementia and their carers, examining barriers people may experience when using technology and identifying potential opportunities for further exploration.

We'll be facilitating a number of workshops with established dementia groups across the country, where we will learn about how this disease affects different people and hear about the dementia journey of the individuals taking part.

Our first workshop took place on Tuesday 3rd August with Ceartas service users at their monthly café in Bishopbriggs.  The workshop was a great success and stimulated lots of conversation about the things that matter to people and insights into how living with dementia affects their day-to-day lives.

The workshop was a valuable learning experience for all involved and will shape the design and delivery of subsequent workshops.

We would like to extend our thanks to Ceartas and all of the people who took part to give their time in helping us understand their experiences.

Next up: Our next workshop will take place on Tuesday 16th August, when we will be speaking to Sporting Memories service users in Glasgow to learn about their journeys.
